About the Artist:
Galen Mohler has been involved in different forms of art for most of his
adult life. A sign painter for a number of years, he eventually became a
draftsman and was employed in that capacity until his retirement. However,
it was not until he reached his 80th birthday that he started to do pen
and ink drawings. Having always had a love of the water and having been
an avid boatman all of his life, it was natural that he became interested
in visiting lighthouses and, subsequently, in drawing these beautiful structures.
Today, in his nineties, he has drawn over 90 different lighthouses and travels
around the country to art and craft shows where he displays his art.
Check out our new book! We now have a book
that details all the lighthouses in the Galen Mohler collection including
photographs and descriptions of each. See our order form.
